My first publication just won the Best Print Hungary prize!

My first book appeared in March, that presents the selection of my Budapest photography. Besides the content, the graphic design and the execution of printing were completed under my art direction as well, so the golden prize is a great feedback to this work as a whole.

Design

As I wrote earlier, the collection of visuals was born after a careful selection, awaiting only to reach its final form. It was important for me personally that the book gives back properly my style and concept at the very first impression, this is the reason I developed the cover in its every detail. After much thought I went for a careful, scrupulous yet exciting design. Besides the exclusive cover I chose high quality types of paper for the book that are most suited to be faithful to my pictures’ unique world of color.

The Best Print Hungary prize is one of the most prestigious acknowledgements in the business, so I am naturally humbled by this honour. My publication won as a Multicolor paperback book, which was the most popular category with the highest number of nominations.

Content

Urban Symmetry – as its title suggests – is a collection of city compositions, putting my artwork created in Budapest into a framework, evoking pre-planned or unexpected variation of forms. The book consists of 164 pages and 112 photographies, among them several award-winning series. One of the latter are the pictures of Auditorium,, winning the FAPA award in 2017, or the photos of the Urban Symmetry series, that won the 2nd ArtHungry Awards and the FAPA 2016 prize, and was nominated for SONY World Photography Awards as well. I included next to the better known photos some that were unseen and maybe, a little bit neglected (by me) until now, so the publication can be quite full of surprises and discoveries for those who are familiar with my previous works, too, I hope.

I am very grateful for this prize!
